Twenty Four Avatara – Lord Vishnu 24 Incarnations

In Hindu philosophy, Lord Vishnu is regarded as the preserver of the universe and the protector of Dharma (cosmic order). Whenever evil rises and righteousness declines, Vishnu incarnates on Earth in different forms to restore balance. These divine manifestations are known as Avataras.

While the Dashavatara (10 incarnations) of Vishnu are widely known, ancient scriptures such as the Bhagavata Purana describe 24 avataras of Lord Vishnu. Each incarnation appeared in different ages and circumstances to guide humanity, destroy evil forces, and re-establish dharma.

Below is a detailed list of the Twenty Four Avataras of Lord Vishnu.
