Swachh Sujal Gaon – Reel Making Competition by DDWS & MyGov

The Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti, in collaboration with MyGov, is organizing a Reel-Making Competition to highlight the transformative efforts of Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) and Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). This contest provides Indian citizens with an opportunity to showcase the positive impact of these initiatives in transforming villages into Swachh Sujal Gaon.

These two flagship programs of the Government of India aim to achieve Open Defecation Free Plus (ODF+) and Har Ghar Jal (HGJ) status, thereby ensuring sanitation and clean water access to rural communities. The competition invites participants to create engaging reels that celebrate the benefits of SBM and JJM and communicate their importance to the nation.

• Start Date: February 01, 2025
• Last Date: April 30, 2025
• Deadline Time: 17:30 PM IST (GMT +5:30 Hrs)

How to Participate

1. Select a Theme: Choose ONE of the following themes for your reel:
   • Swachh Sujal Gaon: Towards Viksit Bharat
   • Swachh Sujal Gaon Se Desh Ki Tarakki
   • Swasth Bharat: Sujal Bharat
2. Create Your Reel: The video should highlight initiatives and transformations in the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WaSH) sector, covering one or more of the following aspects:
   • How SBM and JJM have improved rural lives.
   • Economic, health, and environmental impacts.
   • Overall transformation of villages through these missions.
3. Ensure Compliance: Your reel must adhere to the following submission guidelines:
   • Format: MP4, AVI, or MOV.
   • Resolution: Minimum 720p.
   • Duration: 90-150 seconds.
   • Language: Hindi or English (include subtitles for regional languages).
4. Post & Share: Upload your reel on Instagram, X, Facebook, or LinkedIn, ensuring your post is public. Use the hashtag #SwachhSujalGaon and tag @MyGovIndia to be eligible.
