Tanno Hanumat Prachodayat॥
Meaning:
This Gayatri Mantra is a tribute to Anjaneya (Hanuman), the son of Vayu (Wind God). It asks for divine inspiration and enlightenment, helping the devotee in spiritual upliftment and wisdom.
3. Manojavam Marutatulyavegam Mantra
मनोजवम् मारुततुल्यवेगम् जितेन्द्रियम् बुद्धिमताम् वरिष्ठम्।
वातात्मजम् वानरयूथमुख्यम् श्रीरामदूतम् शरणम् प्रपद्ये॥
Transliteration:
Manojavam Marutatulyavegam Jitendriyam Buddhimatam Varishtham।
Vatatmajam Vanarayuthamukhyam Shriramadutam Sharanam Prapadye॥
Meaning:
This is a highly revered shloka, often recited at the beginning of Hanuman worship or before reading the Hanuman Chalisa. It glorifies Lord Hanuman as:
- Fast as the mind (Manojavam)
- Equal in speed to the wind (Marutatulyavegam)
- Master of senses (Jitendriyam)
- Wise among the wise (Buddhimatam Varishtham)
