❌ This claim is FAKE

💠 The Airports Authority of India has only extended the temporary closure of 25 Air Traffic Service (ATS) route segments within the Delhi & Mumbai Flight Information Regions.

💠 These changes are due to operational reasons and do not affect airline operations on the Delhi–Mumbai route itself.

🔗 Official clarification by PIB: Press Release

What’s Actually Happening?

  • No commercial airline route between Delhi and Mumbai has been suspended.
  • Air Traffic Services (ATS) changes are routine and internal to airspace management, not flight cancellations.
  • Operations continue as usual on the Delhi–Mumbai sector.

Why This Misinformation Is Harmful

🚫 Causes unnecessary panic among flyers
🚫 Damages trust in aviation safety and services
🚫 Disrupts travel plans for passengers based on false assumptions

How to Stay Informed

Conclusion

There is no closure of the Delhi–Mumbai airline route. The viral claim is fake and misleading. Flight operations continue normally, and any changes to air traffic service routes are internal procedural matters handled by AAI for airspace optimization.
