International Day of Yoga 2025 on MyGov– Participate in the Yog Geet Jingle Contest

As the world gears up to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the International Day of Yoga (IDY) on June 21, 2025, the Ministry of AYUSH (MoA) in collaboration with MyGov has launched a creative initiative — the Yog Geet (Yoga Song) / Jingle Contest. This exciting competition invites citizens across India to showcase their talent by writing and composing a 25–30 second Yoga-themed jingle in any official Indian language listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution.

Contest Timeline

  • Start Date: March 27, 2025
  • Last Date to Submit: May 30, 2025, by 5:00 PM IST

Participants are encouraged to submit their entries well before the deadline.

Purpose of the Yog Geet Contest

The aim of the Yog Geet Jingle Contest is to:

  • Promote awareness about the physical and mental health benefits of yoga.
  • Encourage people of all ages to adopt yoga as a lifestyle for better health and well-being.
  • Inspire families and communities to celebrate IDY 2025 together.
  • Create a peppy, memorable jingle that can be used as a campaign anthem across media platforms.

As we mark a decade of global yoga celebrations, the Ministry of AYUSH wants to make IDY 2025 a landmark event by involving citizens in the creative process.

What Should the Yog Geet / Jingle Include?

The jingle must:

  • Emphasize the importance of regular Yoga practice in daily life.
  • Focus on managing lifestyle disorders such as obesity and non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
  • Highlight Yoga’s role as a natural stress buster and productivity booster.
  • Be engaging, vibrant, and easy to relate to across age groups.
  • Encourage mass participation in the International Day of Yoga 2025.

Participation Guidelines

To participate, follow these instructions carefully:

✍️ 1. Script & Composition

  • Write a jingle script in any Indian language listed in the Eighth Schedule.
  • Duration must be 25–30 seconds.
  • The jingle should be appealing, peppy, and connect with a wide audience.

🎙️ 2. Audio File Submission

  • Record a high-quality audio file of your jingle.
  • Upload it on a media platform like SoundCloud, YouTube, Google Drive, or Dropbox.
  • Ensure the link is publicly accessible.
  • Share the link in the comments section of the contest page on MyGov.in.

📄 3. Script Submission

  • Prepare the script separately in a PDF format.
  • Submit this PDF file along with your audio entry.

  • Open to Indian citizens aged 18 years and above.
