Adampur Airport Renamed as Shri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji Airport

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has described the renaming of Adampur Airport as Shri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji Airport as a fitting tribute to the timeless ideals of Guru Ravidass.

In a statement issued on the auspicious occasion of Sant Ravidass Jayanti, the Prime Minister said it was a matter of immense honour and pride that the decision to rename the airport was taken on such a sacred day. He noted that the move would bring joy to countless people and reflect deep respect for the saint’s enduring legacy.

The Prime Minister emphasised that Shri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji’s teachings of equality, compassion, and service continue to inspire society and remain highly relevant in contemporary times.

“It’s a matter of immense honour and pride that today, on the auspicious occasion of Sant Ravidass Jayanti, it has been decided that the Adampur Airport will now onwards be known as Shri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji Airport.
